Hey Everyone! I know it's been a long while since I've kept up with regular blog posts. This is a little late but I wanted to dedicate a post to a recent show I participated in for the awesome folks at Gallery 1988 in Los Angeles. I was asked to participate in this show which was a celebration of the year in film of 1987. Naturally, I went straight for the burnt jugular to one of my favorite films ever, A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors.
16x20 "Blood Variant" Giclee Print inspired by A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors
I wore out multiple VHS tapes of this film as a kid and it continues to be one of my go-to films on the regular. If "Aliens" & "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" are praised as sequels that raised the stakes and rivaled the original, this is the horror equivalent. With this piece, I wanted to pay tribute to the wonderful array of characters and pay homage to the film by creating a poster that actually showed off the emotion of the actual characters. I find that horror posters typically shy away from this.
Below are some shots of the prints and you can purchase one of the 2 variations over at the Gallery website at the following links.
